Within the first five minutes of “Fast X,” the 10th and alleged penultimate installment in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, we hear the first use of the word “family.” By the end of the film, the final family count hits 26.

The franchise that started out with illegal street racing and stolen DVD players way back in 2001 has ballooned into a series about a found family of international mercenaries led by Dominic “Dom” Torretto (Vin Diesel), a muscle-bound gearhead who is as loyal as puppy to those he considers family.
