OSSIPEE — Citing his apparent public support for Democratic state Senate candidate Bobbi Boudman, Carroll County Republicans are withholding campaign support for state House District 5 candidate Steven Brown of Ossipee and instead are backing Selectman Dallas Emery as a write-in candidate.

Brown narrowly defeated incumbent state Rep. Jonathan Smith 269-260 in the Sept. 8 Republican primary for the district, which represents Ossipee.
