CONWAY — M&D Playhouse’s latest production, “What the Constitution Means to Me,” is a vital and relevant piece of theater that puts a human voice to the discussion of the central document of our government.
Written by Heidi Schreck, “What the Constitution Means to Me,” which opened Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse in North Conway, with performances Thursday through Sunday for the next two weeks, is Schreck’s autobiographical recounting of how she paid for college by touring American Legion halls doing constitutional debates. The play has the adult Heidi performing as her 15-year-old-self, as well as at her present age to offer hindsight and context.
