CONWAY — Chris Caputo closed the book on his Kennet High athletic career by competing in the prestigious New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine, on Saturday. He finished 21st overall after being seeded 25th in the 400 meters.
Chris, who will attend Virginia Tech in the fall, did six events this season, and as captain of the boy’s track team set personal records in all of them:200 meters (23.09), 400m (51.3), long jump (20'10"), triple jump (41'11"), javelin (147'6"), and was a member of the 4x400m relay (3:35.22).
