CONWAY — Route 16 in Albany is still slated for upgrades during the next 10 years, but a newly proposed project for Randolph that the North Country Council prioritized over one of the proposed Albany projects will not receive any funding at all. That, along with the tight funding constraints the DOT is under, were topics of discussion during the Governor's Advisory Council public hearing Monday at the Conway Town Hall.

GACIT, made up of the five executive councilors and Commissioner of Transportation Bill Cass, has scheduled public hearings across the state in September and October. The plan is updated every two years. The draft plan being discussed is the 2027-36 plan, which will be completed in June.
