MADISON — Madison residents’ pitchforks are out against STR owners, and the Zoning Board of Adjustment could place rental day limits on properties, a town lawyer told a judge recently.

However, a lawyer representing the owners said the ZBA has no such right and the ordinance restricting new STRs is so poorly written it would prevent second homeowners from accessing their properties for less than 30 days at a time.
