PLYMOUTH — If you want proof that cross-country running is a team sport, look no further than Friday’s Plymouth XC Invitational in Plymouth.

The Kennett High and Laconia boys’ teams were tied at 54 points after their top five finishers. The tie was broken by the finish of each team’s No. 6 runner. For Kennett, senior Finn Lajoie placed 17th in the 3-mile race in 18:52, while Aiden Hayward was the sixth Sachem, crossing the finish line in 21:16 in 37th place.
