CONWAY — Prolonged and extreme drought was a continuing headline through September. Precipitation for the month was slightly above normal, marking the first normal to above normal month for precipitation since May. Thunderstorms from Sept. 6-7 brought the first substantial rainfall (greater than a half-inch) since the third week of July.
