FRYEBURG, Maine — Held Sept. 27-Oct. 5, the 175th Fryeburg Fair for the first time anyone could remember enjoyed nothing but great weather. It also added a second Saturday at the start of the week, making it a nine-day fair for the first time.
Total paid attendance was 171,363, up slightly over last year’s 171,218. So some were left perplexed as to why the combination of great weather and an extra day didn’t lead to even greater attendance.
