The Freedom Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 26, and Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 1 and 2, in order to give the staff time with their families over the holidays. The library will be open normal hours the rest of those two weeks, Thursday 2 to 7 p.m.; Friday noon to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The winter film series begins on Sunday, Jan. 6, at 4 p.m. featuring “Blackkklansman.” Stay afterward for a free soup supper. The library need volunteers to sign up to bring soup. Call or email the library if you can help out.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes, a membership organization providing lifelong learning and social opportunities for adults 50 and older, will be holding its preview of Conway area spring classes at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 8. The event will be held at Granite State College, 53 Technology Lane, in Conway. All are welcome to meet the presenters, enjoy light refreshments, and pick up a copy of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes Spring Catalog of classes.
