SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Junior defensive back Aaron Lamar (North Conway/Kennett High) of the Western New England University football team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Football Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career, the league office announced on Oct. 28.

Lamar recorded nine tackles and an interception in Western New England's 49-27 road win over Curry College on Oct. 27. His pick, which came on the opening drive of the contest, was returned for eight yards.
