CONWAY — Gov. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) is scheduled to be in town Wednesday for the kickoff to the “Honor Summit” event, in which two beams of light will be shone from the summit of 6,288-foot Mount Washington, symbolizing the attacks on the twin towers of the World Trade Center when two hijacked airliners struck the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.

According to organizers, the Honor Summit pays tribute to the lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, and the veterans whose courage continues to protect the nation’s communities.
