Tim Straz had his epiphany about five years ago. The Wolfeboro mountain biker and gravel rider enjoys pedaling the Cotton Valley Rail Trail to access dirt roads and climbs in the area. You’ll also find him on trails supported by the Greater Wolfeboro chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association. He likes to ride North Conway’s east and west side trail networks, and when he wants a taste of classic New England cross-country trails, he’ll travel south to Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown outside Concord.
But one thing he doesn’t like is the sticky mess associated with sustaining his tubeless tires, which don’t require an inner tube and contains sealant that plugs little rips from punctures. The sealant eventually dries up and needs to be replaced. An injector system can leave behind sticky slop.
