Over the past year and a half, we have seen a systematic attempt by President Donald Trump and the Republican Congress to dismantle the ACA. We are working in New Hampshire to protect your health care should the ACA be repealed.

The Republican tax cut in December 2017 removed the tax penalties on individuals who do not purchase insurance (the individual mandate). Twenty states then brought suit, contending that the ACA is unconstitutional without the individual mandate. If those states prevailed in court, the ACA provision banning insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions would be declared unconstitutional. The Trump administration refused to defend the ACA against this suit.
