U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen last week voted against a COVID-19 stimulus package proposed by senate Republicans, and once again, funding to help those struggling to put food on the table or pay their employees has been delayed by party politics.

Did Sen. Jeanne Shaheen follow that “no” vote with an impassioned plea urging the Senate to pass something, anything? Did she encourage her fellow Democrats to forget politics and remember that Americans out of work and businesses teetering on the edge of bankruptcy need help now?

You lament how American political discourse has "deteriorated" into "finger-pointing" smack-dab in the middle of your finger-pointing letter. And you apparently sensed no irony in that.
