LOVELL — The Lovell tennis community came together for the 40th annual Dave Mason Greater Kezar Lake Tennis Tournament in early August for a weekend of great tennis. This year’s three-day tournament was held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 7-9. Players were cheered on by a record number of spectators.

As is typical each year, the event had the feeling of a family reunion, since many of the players and fans are good friends but had not seen each other in a year or more. A total of 40 players entered the competition, some from as far away as California and the United Kingdom. New players included Alfie Bates (U.K.), Carissa Brady (Lovell), Robert Gordon (Lovell), Maya Milic-Strkalj (Sweden, Maine), Robert Smith (Massachusetts), Jackson Tupaj (Lovell) and Tom Wagner (New Hampshire).
