OSSIPEE — Three Republicans seeking two seats in Carroll County House District 8 emphasized lower taxes, education freedom, gun rights and limited government last Thursday night, while drawing on their different backgrounds during a candidate forum at Ossipee Town Hall.

Wakefield Republicans Tammy Garthwaite and Colin Mitchell are running, as is incumbent state Rep. Brian Taylor of Freedom, in the Sept. 8 Republican primary. Voters can select up to two candidates.
