CONWAY — After adopting a rental license and inspection program last year, selectmen last week chose to offer essentially the same program as a warrant article for voters to decide on. But on Tuesday, selectmen said they will not suspend their already enacted version of the program until the April vote and may continue it even if the warrant article fails.

On Deputy Town Manager Paul DegliAngeli said two versions of the program are at play, the difference being the state laws that enable them. The present program falls under selectmen’s powers. The warrant article is an ordinance  update.
