CONWAY — Mother Nature’s annual fall foliage display is drawing raves throughout the White Mountains as the region approaches peak color just in time for the busy Columbus Day Weekend.

The area had its first frost Wednesday morning, and the nighttime air has been crisp — just like the scrumptious apple crisp at Maine’s Blue Ribbon classic, the Fryeburg Fair, which has enjoyed great weather all week.
