BARTLETT — A potential $1.9 million funding source to clean up a former Bartlett town dump situated on the Saco River is now in doubt after state engineers estimated the project could cost approximately $2.9 million.

This could mean renewed litigation between the Iovino Trust and the town of Bartlett, which have been involved in a $2.5 million lawsuit over responsibility for cleaning up the former municipal landfill on private property off Route 302.
