Freedom's Jerry Knirk will be presenting a course called “Greenhouse Growing for the Home Gardener” for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNH on May 7 (presentation)and May 14 (site visit). Knirk will talk about the management of temperature, irrigation, pests, and other unique problems of greenhouse growing. The first class will be a one-hour PowerPoint presentation, followed by questions and answers and discussion. The second class is a site visit to his greenhouse to explore the construction and other factors closely. You can find this course through the OLLI program or unh.edu. There are still some openings.
