CONWAY — The Kennett High field hockey team is playing its best hockey of the fall, even if the results don’t show it at the moment.

The Eagles dropped a pair of hard-fought contests against a pair of rivals last week. They fell 1-0 at home against Berlin (9-1-1, and atop the Division III standings) on Wednesday, and they lost a tough 2-1 match under the lights against Kingswood (6-5) in the local derby on Thursday night. Kennett beat Laconia 3-0 on Sept. 29.
