BERLIN — Residents of St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Berlin recently gave back to their hometown in a powerful and unexpected way.

The residents prepared and donated 18 homemade meals for the Berlin Community Bridge, which provides 24/7 access to free, shelf-stable food for community members in need. The dishes included American chop suey, cookies and more — all prepared with care and intention.
