Longer days and warmer weather herald the urge to get outside while Memorial Day signals summer’s beginning, like racers rushing the starting line. Car enthusiasts are well into polishing and prepping their summer toys for car show season and a quick search finds numerous events showcasing specialty vehicles.

While current gas prices might put a crimp in the cruising budget, there are still economical and unique rides out there that are not only fun, but the price of entry is often less that a fire-breathing V8 hot rod or diesel bro dozer.
