WASHINGTON — Following conversations between U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Gov. Kelly Ayotte and U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, Shaheen and Ayotte confirmed that the U.S. Forest Service will not be closing New Hampshire’s Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in North Woodstock.
They said USDA will continue to evaluate plans at Bartlett Experimental Forests to ensure the continued stability of these critical research sites in New Hampshire.
