CONWAY — Four people have applied to occupy the selectman’s seat that was vacated by John Colbath, who resigned from the Conway Board of Selectmen last month, said chair Steve Porter on Monday. The applicants will be meeting with selectmen today at 4 p.m. at Conway Town Hall.
On April 28, Selectman Steve Porter announced the resignation of the longtime Selectman Colbath, effective immediately, at the board’s Tuesday meeting. Colbath was not in attendance, but Porter read aloud a letter from him, which was received that day. Colbath said he resigned for reasons “beyond his control.”
