Notre Dame collapse

When I began the journey to revisit the Notre Dame Arena collapse, I didn’t know what I was getting into. The original plan was to highlight the “details” of the event, talk to a couple of people I knew were there, publish a few pictures, and that would be it.

In my travels to various local games as part of my sports’ editor duties, having a coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts, and so forth, I began to talk to people about where they were and what they experienced that day. The stories and memories began to pile up and I realized that the arena collapse was greater, deeper, more traumatic and meaningful to so many people than one might imagine.
