CONWAY — While Mother Nature is finally cooperating with the Kennett High alpine team. The Eagles got a jump on her on Friday when they hosted their first race of the season at Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway.

Skiing on entirely manmade snow, the Kennett High girls, the reigning four-time state champs, picked up where they left off last winter with an impressive pair of wins in the two giant slalom races in the four-school meet. The KHS boys were second in the morning GS to defending champs Hanover, but the two sing powers finished tied for first in the afternoon race.
