CONWAY — It took longer than planned, two days, but the Kennett High football team took care of business in the home opener, beating Pembroke Academy 49-22 at Gary Millen Stadium on Saturday. Senior Tyler Walcott had a day to remember scoring five touchdowns, including a tone-setting 50-yard interception return just 87 seconds into the contest.

The win lifted the Eagles to 2-0 and put them atop the Division II East standings, just ahead of rival Plymouth (2-0) by percentage points.
