CONWAY — In weather much better suited for indoor tennis, the Kennett High boys’ tennis team has had to layer up for most of its matches which were played in temperatures near 40 degrees and blustery winds.

The Eagles, who are 0-5 on the young season, fell 7-2 in the season-opener at home to Bow (2-2) on April 7, and then made the long trek to Vermont to play Lebanon (the Raider’s courts were not playable) on April 9 and dropped a 9-0 decision. The hometown flock also lost 7-2 to Alvirne (2-3) in Hudson on April 14; lost 6-0 at Portsmouth (4-0) on April 15; and fell 8-1 to Plymouth (3-1) at home on Thursday in near-perfect kite-flying weather.
