FRYEBURG — The Fryeburg Academy boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams have been making the most out of what this winter has to offer. Despite a lack of snowstorms the Raiders have been able to get in five meets thus far and have their sights set on the Western Maine Conference Championships, which have been moved to their home course, Stark’s Hill on Wednesday and Saturday.

“We’re doing OK,” said John Weston, Raiders’ head coach, on Friday. “We’ve got kind of the team I predicted at the beginning of the season with a big mixture of kids, ranging from high end ski racers to beginners, we run the gambit.”
