FRYEBURG — Fryeburg Academy baseball is ready and loaded for a good run in the tough Maine Class B South. Third year Coach Chris Kroski's nine squeaked into the playoffs two years ago, and just missed out by a game last spring. While Kroski expects, "every team in the division is strong," his team is "looking alright. We've got a lineup loaded with good athletes who can play."

Starting on the mound, the Raiders should be solid with junior Braydon Bartlett and sophomore Dawson Jones as the 1-2 starters. Both pitchers have good fastballs and some off speed pitches that they can throw at any count. When the schedule gets busy or bullpen help is needed, senior Matt Fuller and junior Ayden DeSantis will get the call. Throwing strikes and keeping the ball around the plate will be keys for these two. Kroski would like to see opponents put the ball in play, noting the Raider team defense has been very good so far this pre-season.
