FRYEBURG — The Fryeburg Academy boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams hosted the Western Maine Conference Championships last week with a classical race on Wednesday, a freestyle skate race on Saturday and the times were then combined to determine individual pursuit champions. FA sophomore Alanna Nataluk had a great showing, winning the skate race, placing third in the classic and second overall in the pursuit.

John Weston, Raiders’ head coach, was delighted for Nataluk and pleased with how his Raiders skied at Stark’s Hill, their home course, which held up well given the rain and sleet on Thursday and Friday. The FA girls and boys both finished fourth out of nine schools in the two days of racing.
