CONWAY — After getting a taste of postseason play last winter, the Kennett High boys’ basketball team, which returns a strong but young nucleus, again hopes to be part of March Madness this winter.

After the shortest preseason on record (just six days), the Eagles tipped off the 2024-25 regular season in the Nest at home in the Peter Ames Gymnasium against Merrimack Valley on Friday night. The visiting Pride knocked down all five of their three-pointer attempts in the first quarter to build a double-digit lead that they never relinquished on their way to a 66-46 victory.
