LACONIA — Defense wins championships, and the Kennett High football team has a defense that could be a force to reckon with this fall. For the second time in three weeks, the KHS defense put together a dramatic goal-line effort to stifle an opponent. On Friday night, in Laconia, against the Sachems, the Eagles stopped their hosts four times inside the five-yard line to open the fourth quarter and give all of the momentum to the boys from Conway.

Senior Tyler Walcott scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to give Kennett a come-from-behind 20-10 victory. The win lifted the Eagles to 3-0 on the young season, while Laconia dropped to 1-1.
