JACKSON — On Thursday Black Mountain gave Jackson Police Department five days to comply with a Carroll County Superior judge’s order to turn over all documents pertaining to complaints about Black Mountain’s 90th Birthday Celebration last May.

Black Mountain General manager Erik Mogensen said he was seeking proof of complaints that Police Chief Chris Perley said were made regarding the May celebration that included live music, fireworks and alleged public drinking and parking violations. Mogensen doesn’t believe any complaints were lodged and that Perley “embellished” the reports.
