CONWAY — With the closing of the 45-bed Merriman House at MaineHealth Memorial Hospital Oct. 7, former residents have found long-term care elsewhere, with many relocating to Mineral Springs Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in North Conway, according to Tim Kershner, director of communications and public affairs for the hospital.

“Merriman House created a great legacy of caring in the valley, and we give our kudos to all the staff, residents and families who have been part of that for the past 40 years. Now, that legacy is being carried on by others,” Kershner told the Sun Tuesday.
