CONWAY — With the way this basketball season has gone for the Kennett High boys this winter, no one was surprised that the regular-season finale with rival Kingswood needed overtime to decide it. Coach Jack Loynd’s cardiac kids went down to the wire again, beating the Knights 70-66 in overtime in Wolfeboro on Thursday.

The Eagles, the No. 7 seeds, were in playoff action Monday night when they hosted No. 10 Souhegan (9-9) in the opening round of the Division II tournament. Results were not known as of press time.
