BROWNFIELD, Maine — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Alice (Quimby) Walker, who left us on March 8, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by her family. Nancy was born on Oct. 23, 1947, in Bridgton, Maine, to Gerald Quimby and Alice Helen (Richardson) Noble.

Nancy spent many years working at the Bridgton Shoe Shop, where her hands bore the callouses of countless hours of hand‑sewing shoes — yet she never once complained. In the evenings, she could often be found with a cup of coffee, threading her needles and a small dog curled contentedly in her lap. Her quiet strength and steady dedication were hallmarks of the life she lived.
