CONWAY — For the past five decades, the Gibson Center for Senior Services has been a must-stop for state, local and presidential candidates seeking to get their message across. Now, Gibson Executive Director David Smolen has put drop-in lunchtime politicking on hold until after the New Hampshire state primary in September.

Smolen said he made the decision two weeks ago, noting that the North Conway facility has been “bombarded” with requests from candidates.
