CONWAY — Mt. Washington Valley Volleyball Club, a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting the sport of volleyball to young women in the valley and surrounding areas, begins tournament play in the New England Region Volleyball Association this Sunday, March 1, with one of three squads – the U14 team – hosting its first tournament of the season at the Kennett Middle School. Girls interested in seeing what volleyball is all about are invited to stop by and check out some matches.
The club has 30 players as young as fifth-grade through seniors in high school playing on three squads this year: U14, U16 and U17. They will play five tournaments throughout New England starting this Sunday. The other four tournaments are on March 22, April 5 and 19 and May 3.
