CONWAY — The four Republican candidates for the 1st Congressional District who took part in Wednesday’s debate may have differed in background and policy priorities but were largely united in identifying affordability as the main issue facing Granite Staters this year.

About 45 people attended the debate moderated by Sun Publisher Mark Guerringue at the North Conway Water Precinct building, where Melissa Bailey of Bedford, Brian Cole of Manchester, Anthony DiLorenzo of Portsmouth and Hollie Noveletsky of Greenland each made their case for earning the seat in Congress currently held by U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas, a Democrat from Manchester.
