OSSIPEE — Winners of November’s county elections for several positions will enjoy a massive pay increase of tens of thousands of dollars, the executive committee of the county’s legislative delegation decided Friday.

The current county officials in these positions will not see the increase unless they get re-elected. The boosted salaries will take effect starting in 2027. The full delegation, a group of 15 state representatives, gave the executive committee permission to set the pay for the county attorney, sheriff, register of deeds and treasurer.
