CONWAY — Garrett Meador of the Conway Fire Department will suit up and play in the Battle of Badges All-Star Hockey Championship at the Southern New Hampshire Arena (formerly the Verizon Wireless Arena) in Manchester this Sunday, March 25, and the former Kennett High standout is once again hoping the community will get behind him with support.
Each of the 22 players on the two teams — made up of firemen and police officers from across the Granite State — has been asked to meet a fund-raising goal of $1,500 (teams and sponsors have set a goal of $250,000), with all proceeds going to Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD).
