MADISON — If you saw a steady stream of cyclists along Route 153 on Saturday morning, yes, there was a race taking place. A field of 100 athletes took part in the more than 30-year-old annual Sea to Summit Triathlon.

The race, put on by Cape Cod-based New England Endurance Events, is not for the casual athlete. They start with a swim near the Maine coast, bike through the Granite State and then finish with a run up Mount Washington.
