CONWAY — The Diamondbacks captured the Cal Ripken Major League 12U Championship by topping the Dodgers 6-5 at Whitaker Field in North Conway on June 11.
“The kids worked incredibly hard this year and for some of them, this was years in the making,” said Chris McCracken, head coach of the Diamondbacks. “I had two kids who have played for me for three or more years and made it to the championship game twice, but never won. This year, all their hopes and dreams came to fruition. I am so happy for these kids and the parents, friends and families of all the players for the hard work they put in.”
