CONWAY — Jason Baker played his final high school football game on Saturday, and the score really didn’t matter. He and his New Hampshire teammates and Vermont opponents were playing for something greater than themselves — children in the Shriner’s hospitals.
"Strong Legs Run That Weak Legs May Walk" is the motto of every Shrine Football Game, and the 73rd meeting between the Granite and Green Mountain states saw New Hampshire set a fundraising record with more than $40,000 raised by the players and coaches. Baker raised $1,234 himself.
