Ed Robson gives $1 million to Bridgton Academy

BRIDGTON, Maine — Edward J. Robson of Sun Lakes, Ariz., a member of the Bridgton Academy Class of 1950, has gifted Bridgton Academy $1,000,000 to establish the Ed Robson ‘50 Head Hockey Coach Endowed Chair, the Academy’s first endowed athletic chair. The seven-figure donation is one of the largest monetary gifts in the Academy’s 211 year history.

The endowment will support the hockey program at Bridgton Academy in perpetuity, with the head coach’s position now the Ed Robson ‘50 Head Hockey Coach.
