There’s no doubt that this Martin Luther King weekend is a big one for skiers, snowboarders and the industry, too. This has largely been a manmade winter, with snowmaking crews churning out the white gold as temperatures allow.

This week was a good one for snow making with ski areas able to bust out the guns when temperatures allowed, and that they did, with a return over several days to seasonable temperatures after that pesky January thaw and rain that gave the valley a premature spring feel.
