North Country Angling - Out of print books

Out of print books make great resource materials. (STEVE ANGERS PHOTO)

Behind the counter at the shop is where this angler keeps his collection of resource books. This includes fly-tying books, where-to-fish books and gazetteers. The idea is to have at hand the resources necessary to answer fellow anglers’ questions and questions that pop into the mind of this angler.

The most cherished book for finding fishing spots is a Delorme Gazetteer of New Hampshire, specifically for New Hampshire. Not the new ones that are New Hampshire and Vermont. This gazetteer has more detail than the new editions and is marked up with the places that have been fished over the decades. Anyone who is interested in finding productive remote waters gets a look in the book.
